Last Saturday Lynn called me when she struck retro gold! She came across this fabulous magazine called Atomic Ranch. It’s a wonderful resource for all things retro and retro decor. This magazine has been out for 4 years now… 4 years!! and I’ve been missing out. This issue was full of articles on influential designers and home owners that have embraced the Atomic Ranch style. I’m inspired… our bedroom is the first room I want to make over! Stay tuned…

treasure hunt pt.2

My latest score when out thrift store shopping. Lynn and I just happened upon this thrift shop going out of business. Everything was 50% and you could stuff a bag full of clothing for 10 bucks. When it was all said and done we had about a dozen pieces of clothing including this amazing gently used retro dress coat that Lynn literally jumped up and down when she found and all the crafty items shown for $9.50!!! They gave us 50% of the already amazing clothing sale… it was crazy. Lynn and I ran out of the store just in case they made a mistake. It was a good day.

So tasty.

When Lynn and I get together to create for 2GP we usually end up having a midnight snack / coffee at the local Denny’s or what Lynn has coined as “Documentary Denny’s”. You know the type; dives that in the middle of the night the most random group of people meet to eat fries and drink shakes. We’ve seen D&D dudes in capes sitting next to bikers with their biker babes (babes like 10 years ago) being served by a guy that looks way too much like Uncle Rico from Napoleon Dynamite. *giggle… The Denny’s we go to actually has a bar with outdoor seating!? For real, which I can happily say we’ve never been in or near.

we normally just get fries… check please.

fashionably late…

Better late than never! Here is a photo collage of the Project Red Dress event including how my dress turned out; the dress shown was the winner. You’ll see we were having fun before we even made it to the event! Yes that is Mary pretending to be a pink mannequin.  So funny…

AND I got to meet Nick Verreos! Actually Teresa got to have dinner with him where she told him about my Project Runway dress pattern I was making. When I was introduced to him he actually remembered me - thank the heavens that he was so crowded with fans that he didn’t get a chance to look too close.

So cute and sweet!

… lazy blah blah…
