I recently joined a great online community of indie artists/designers called indiepublic.com to promote 2GP. I’ve made a few friends, great feedback on 2GP products and have bought some awesome handmade quality goods from other indiepublic peeps. One of my first friends/finds was Rachel of “Miniatures by Rachel”. She specializes in handmade miniatures of cakes and desserts. Once I saw her amazing skills I commissioned her to replicate my wedding cake, she said yes and she finished it while I was away in China. Fred and I had what is called a “quake cake” where the cake was crooked and looked as though it was about to fall over… I loved the cake and I love this miniature equally. I’m amazed how Rachel was able to get the right look / colors of the flowers and icing. The whole thing is beautiful. I plan on taking more photos once it is in my hot little hands.
